A little more about your role…
- Preparation and reviewing of reports including desk studies and site investigation specifications.
- Interpretation of the site investigations and production of ground investigation reports (GIR).
- Design of foundations (pad, raft, piled raft, piles).
- Detailed design of basements.
- Ground Movement Assessments to determine the impact of construction works on tunnels (BT, LUL, RMG), masonry tunnels (NR, City of London), masonry viaducts (NR) etc. Plaxis 2D and 3D is used for these analysis models.
- Building damage assessments on third party structures.
- Production of Interpretive Monitoring Reports.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- We are looking for a candidate who has a strong interest in all aspects of geotechnics.
- Degree and/or Masters in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
- Numerical analysis experience would be beneficial.
- Experience and strong knowledge of theoretical soil mechanics.
- Knowledge of numerical analysis software packages would be beneficial.
- Plaxis ability would be preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
