  • Working with the Civil & Structural Group Lead in UK to develop cost‑effective, efficient and innovative Civil & Structural solutions to complex problems and then using engineering tools such as Revit, Tekla, Robot, AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create practical designs based on these solutions.
  • Working on projects in a variety of stages of maturity, including Feasibility Studies, Concept Designs, FEED Studies, Value Engineering, Detailed Design. There will be opportunities for site work during project development, construction and commissioning.
  • Preparation of deliverables such as structural 3D models, structure design reports, general arrangement drawings, pipe support design and drawings, foundation envelops and RC detailing.
  • Supporting development of plant layouts and plant 3D models.
  • Working with equipment vendors on developing designs of equipment packages and participating in technical evaluations of vendor designs.
  • Developing proposals and bids for Civil & Structural projects and contributing to multi-disciplinary proposals.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings & designs (calculations) for Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects, covering both Air Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), ranging from 11kV up to 400kV (with a particular emphasis on 132kV voltages and above)
  • Operate as part of a team of engineers and designers in carrying out civil & structural detailed engineering works including analysis and design of various structures and provide necessary technical inputs to designers, procurement assistance in compliance with tender specifications and design basis, within budgeted man-hour and project schedules.
  • Perform analysis and design of various structures for static and dynamic forces covering dead loads, live loads, operating loads, temperature, wind, seismic and pulsations. Experience required in analysis and design of Steel structures like Piperacks, Technological Structures, Shelters, GMPs, VMPs, Pipe supports, Trussles, connection design and RCC structures like RCC Buildings, Pits, precast piperacks, Equipment foundations for static and dynamic conditions. Design of Piles, pile caps, Base plates, anchor bolts.
  • Co-ordination with designers for 3D model and 2D drawings, checking model and drawings, MTO, Co-ordination with other discipline for inputs and clearances on drawings.
  • Read and interpret Soil investigation reports for the application on project.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical inquiry requests (Inquiry Requisitions) to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers. Partake in Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), review vendor drawings and documents. Review design calculations, ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with client equipment specifications and are within budgeted costs.
