The Earth & Environment Proposals Team positions WSP to win profitable business and drive growth. We work across borders to bring the best of our global capabilities to deliver the right skills for our clients. You will lead teams through the WSP Work Winning Lifecycle, from Capture to Handover.
A Little More About Your Role… As a Proposals Manager, you will be assigned opportunities through the WSP Work Winning Lifecycle. In collaboration with business leaders, technical specialists and proposal professionals, you will form winning teams to position WSP and influence our clients, create compelling win strategies, develop quality and profitable proposals, and efficiently handover from bid to delivery teams to enable smooth mobilisation. You will also maintain our bid knowledge library, support work winning improvement initiatives and help integrate AI and continuous improvements to all stages of the lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage opportunities through the WSP Work Winning Lifecycle (Capture, Bid Prep, Qualification, RFP, Lessons learned, Handover).
- Follow WSP best practice and comply with internal governance requirements.
- Influence and communicate at a senior level while managing interfaces with the wider proposals team, other UK/global business streams and partners.
- Facilitate the development of delivery solutions, winning bid strategies and key messages.
- Work with technical authors to write and review impactful, tailored and compelling content.
- Support project teams in preparing for interviews.
- Act as a hub of best practice and knowledge for proposals.
- Mentor junior team members.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
- Degree-qualified in an appropriate subject
- APMP Foundation as a minimum
- Knowledge of services/proposals within Environmental and Earth Sciences is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication with a collaborative approach
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise
- Excellent editing and response writing skills
- Robust project management with meticulous attention to detail and quality
- Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Passion for quality and continuous improvement with a focus on delivery
- Self-motivated, proactive, with initiative and accountability
- Ability to assimilate large information volumes and manage workflows
- Interest in using new and evolving digital bidding techniques
