We are looking for a Port Planner to join the Ports & Maritime team based in the UK. This role can be based in any WSP office with a preference for London, Basingstoke, and Newcastle.

As part of the team, you will have an opportunity to complement the wide experience of a highly knowledgeable and dynamic team of Ports & Maritime experts based in the UK and across the globe.

As a Port Planner, you will work with some of the world’s leading port and maritime experts in the delivery of complex multi-cargo port masterplans, feasibility studies, operational audits, and due diligence assignments, globally.

You will liaise and interact closely with our in-house maritime advisory, engineering, and environmental teams to deliver comprehensive masterplan layouts, reports, and business plans for both greenfield and brownfield developments for a variety of commodity sectors including containers and breakbulk, dry bulk, liquid bulk, and marine facilities dedicated to the energy transition.

You will be trained in the use of our in-house proprietary master planning tool PRIME, to efficiently assess phased land use plans and associated CapEx and OpEx. Experience with port planning and/or simulation tools is desirable.

You will also play a proactive role in promoting maritime services internally and support other members of the wider WSP team in the roles they are required to perform. Proficient use of all usual MS office-based software is essential.

Your role will be office-based; however, you will have an opportunity to visit sites in the UK and internationally.

You will work in a highly inclusive and dynamic environment where collaboration, enthusiasm, and empathy are highly valued. With support and guidance from our team members, you will have an opportunity to broaden your existing skills and knowledge, which will support you on your career path with WSP.
