A little more about your role… We are currently recruiting a Consultant to play a significant role in the future success of our due diligence and wider advisory team. You should be keen to develop a broad understanding of infrastructure projects and as part of this role you will be working with infrastructure investors, lenders, international finance corporations and financial advisors.

  • Attending conference calls with the clients to understand what their key concerns are and relay our view of the key topics to be considered.
  • Attending site visits and management meetings with clients, and site operators for data acquisition and scene setting.
  • Preparing analysis and high-quality reports, conveying complex commercial and technical issues in a simple form.
  • Supporting the production of due diligence reports, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Supporting the development and management of relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Working to the project programme for activities/deliverables and understanding interdependencies.
  • Participating in regular team meetings and reviews and help to develop our capability.
  • Assisting colleagues and subordinates in achieving their objectives and providing feedback on team member performance to their line managers.
  • Support to Project Teams in technical discussions with our clients.
  • Leverage our 67,000 strong internal domain experts and specialist consultants to find answers to complex problems.
  • Interact with junior members of the team for review of documents or other tasks.
  • Possibility of travel overseas for projects (typically we undertake 2 or 3 day client trips, for kick-off/site visits and/or final client presentations).

The Investor Advisory team has a strong track record of supporting clients at the early stage of projects such as feasibility plans, market forecasts as well as technical assessment of complex projects. Our key clients cover a wide range of different organisations in the private and public sectors. Key clients include financial institutions (pension funds, investors and financiers), operators (ports, rail, buses, highways and mobility) and wider industry.

The Advisory team is currently diversifying from a strong transport client base and has successfully developed its expertise into new sectors, namely industrial clients, major government programmes (e.g. Port Infrastructure Fund, UK Freeports) as well as mobility and core+ sectors. We are regularly involved from project origination through to completion, as well as during asset optimisation and modernisation and/or expansion of existing facilities. Our front-end consultancy is supported by 79,000 technical specialists globally. Our offer includes transaction services (including PPP), investment advisory, market studies, demand forecasting, technical and financial feasibility and management consultancy services.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • A degree qualification in a technical discipline.
  • Previous experience in a consultancy environment or engineering company or other relevant industry.
  • Proven ability to prepare high-quality written technical reports and deliver verbal presentations to a high level of quality assurance for a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to engage in active, professional verbal communications and presentations to colleagues (including senior colleagues), clients and sub-contractors.
  • Self-starter, capable of working proactively with colleagues located in multiple locations.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary meetings (online and face to face) and acting as the organisation technical representative with external clients.
  • Experience of stakeholder consultation exercises including preparation / delivery of workshops, surveys and/or interviews.
  • Professional affiliation with or membership of appropriate body (e.g. CEng, RICS, etc.)

How to set yourself apart:

  • Experience in the manufacturing and/or construction industries.
  • Experience delivering technical due diligence, optioneering and feasibility studies, feasibility in process-orientated projects.
