WSP is seeking a BIM Coordinator to work in our Data & Architecture expertise team to support the digital delivery of large infrastructure design projects. The successful candidate will provide direct operational support to the Lead BIM Manager on a major programme(s) to support coordination, platform management and engagement across all active projects in the programme. This will support the implementation, governance and continuous improvement of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Delivery practices.
Key Responsibilities
- CDE Administration — Administer the project’s Common Data Environment in alignment with ISO 19650 workflows, configure and manage user permissions, maintain workflow rules, and support the correct exchange and federation of information containers across the project portfolio.
- Standards & Requirements Compliance — Liaise with Senior BIM Coordinators to ensure information delivered by task teams aligns with the Project Information Standards, BEP, AIR and EIR. Escalate non‑conformities or complex technical issues to the Lead BIM Manager for resolution.
- Federated Model Coordination — Support coordination activities by participating in clash detection reviews, validating federated model assemblies, documenting coordination issues, and tracking resolution actions in accordance with BEP‑defined coordination procedures.
- BIM Working Group Support — Assist Senior BIM Coordinators in facilitating BIM Working Group sessions: prepare agenda material, maintain alignment of Discipline Leads with project information requirements, and follow up on assigned actions between meetings.
- Information Delivery Reporting — Produce structured progress reports on information delivery against MIDP and TIDP milestones, maintain tracking compliance metrics (e.g., naming conventions, metadata completeness, file size thresholds) and highlight deviations from project information standards.
- Coordination Maturity Monitoring — Maintain and validate the Coordination Maturity Tracker across the project portfolio; consolidate updates from Senior BIM Coordinators, verify consistency of entries, identify projects falling below required maturity thresholds, and prepare summary insights for review by the Lead BIM Manager.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate...
- Higher education in IM, Engineering, Architecture or IT, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with BIM authoring and federation tools (Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, ACC, Revizto)
- Demonstrable experience in BIM coordination on major infrastructure programmes,
- Working knowledge of ISO 19650 information management framework and its application on live projects
- Experience facilitating clash detection and model coordination
- Ability to check model outputs for compliance
- Strong organisational skills — able to track actions, maintain dashboards, and produce concise progress reports
- Clear and direct communicator; comfortable liaising across multiple delivery partners simultaneously
