To support continued growth across our UK business, we are looking for an Associate Director to play a key leadership role in delivering environmental and water services into the airport sector.
This is an opportunity to step into an established portfolio and lead a high-performing team working on complex, high-impact projects. Current work spans contamination and water quality challenges, environmental assessment, permitting and regulatory strategy, with a strong focus on PFAS and broader environmental risk across airport environments.
You will shape and grow this offering, strengthening relationships with key clients and positioning the business for future success in a specialist and evolving market.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of airport-related water projects
- Provide direction and support to an established, multidisciplinary team
- Act as a trusted partner to clients, building long-term relationships and identifying new opportunities
- Play a key role in work winning through strategic account management and tender responses
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the airport sector strategy, aligned to wider business goals
You will have the autonomy to influence how the service develops, with real scope to shape both the technical direction and commercial growth of the offering. While the role is UK-focused, there may also be opportunities to contribute to international projects.
We are interested in experienced professionals who bring a blend of technical credibility, commercial awareness and leadership capability.
You are likely to have:
- Strong experience leading groundwater/surface water investigations, monitoring programmes and risk assessments
- A deep understanding of environmental challenges within the airport sector, including PFAS and regulatory frameworks such as Regulation 61
- A track record of engaging with regulators such as the EA and SEPA
- Proven ability to grow business, win work and build lasting client relationships
- Experience leading and developing teams, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style
