Responsibilities

  • Develop HV projects (up to and including 20kV) initial functional requirement into compliant cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Project manage the development and delivery of small/medium HV projects (cable, plant and civil) to time, cost, safety and quality.
  • Interface with customers as well as internal and external resources to develop and deliver HV projects.
  • Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for developed HV projects.
  • Effectively communicate with internal engineering and industrial resource.
  • Coordinate external service providers and administer commercial.

Qualifications

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working on HV substation projects.
  • Understanding of electrical distribution plant items operations, controls and associated systems such as switchgear, Protection, Power Transformers and Underground power cables.
  • Good understanding of the H&S and CDM requirements for projects.
  • An ability to undertake the role of ‘Designer’ and/or ‘Principal Designer’ under the CDM regulations.
  • An ability to interpret technical documentation relating to the design of electrical substations.
  • The ability to travel as per project needs.
