WSP’s Surveying Services team is growing, and we’re recruiting professionals who want to shape the future of Land and Engineering Surveying across the UK & Ireland.
We have teams based in the following locations - with WSP's hybrid working allowing for a mix of site, in-office and home working:
Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Guildford, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Naas.
YOUR NEW ROLE, WHAT’S INVOLVED…..
- Based within WSP’s Exeter, Guildford, Bristol or London offices, working within theUK wide Surveying Services team, alongside the Buried Services Surveying, UAV and MBS teams.

Working on Survey projects across Southern England and UK Wide

Assisting with land and engineering surveys with respect to briefs and specifications
-
Processing projects, whilst rigorously adhering to, and ensuring, that the prevailing standards of WSP are adhered to.

Working within a team of 48 Surveyors based UK wide, consisting of Topographical, Measured Building & Buried Services Surveyors and UAV Pilots.

Working mainly on surveying projects UK wide

Varied client base from Local Authorities to Multi-Discipline Consultants

Reporting to the Leeds office survey team lead

City based offices, with excellent transport links and surrounding area includes shops/café/parking train station

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE….
-
A relevant technical degree/HND in surveying or a related discipline, with experience in a similar role, typically 1-2 years
-
Working towards membership of a professional body would be advantageous
-
An understanding of project and commercial considerations
-
Experience in the use of total stations, GNSS & terrestrial laser scanners
-
Experience in the use of relevant software including N4ce (or similar), Trimble Business Centre (or similar) and AutoCAD would be advantageous but not essential
-
Experience in the planning and piloting of UAV’s would be advantageous but not essential
-
Experience in carrying out Buried Services Surveys would be advantageous but not essential
-
Good problem solving, self-management and people skills

Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team

The ability to travel UK-wide on a regular basis is essential for this role
