Your New Role, What’s Involved:
- Working within a team of Utility Surveyors based UK wide, collaborating with the Topographical Surveying, UAV and MBS teams.
- Managing and coordinating live projects, bidding, and assisting with marketing for new projects.
- Carrying out buried services surveys with respect to briefs and specifications.
- Processing and checking of projects, while rigorously adhering to prevailing WSP standards.
- Quality Assurance – Ensure that standards are followed on site and in the office.
- Mentoring of junior team members.
Your Team:
- Working within a team of 40 Surveyors based UK wide, consisting of Topographical, Measured Building & Buried Services Surveyors and UAV Pilots.
- Working mainly on surveying projects based in Scotland.
- Varied client base from Local Authorities to Multi-Discipline Consultants.
- City based offices, with excellent transport links and surrounding area includes shops/cafés/parking/train station.
- Surveying Services promote the power of joined-up geospatial technologies to bring locational data alive.
We’d Love To Hear From You If You Have:
- QCF Level 3 and Level 5 in Utility Mapping Surveying or a related qualification, part of a degree, HND, or engineering-based qualification. Candidates with suitable skills and proven experience will be considered.
- Proven experience of fieldwork for below-ground utility surveys and drainage surveys on varied sites using Electromagnetic and GPR techniques. Experience of working to PAS128 standards, collecting and post-processing GPR data. Typically 5-10 years.
- Experience in producing 2D & 3D CAD drawings and other survey reports.
- Experience using total stations and GNSS.
- Experience in carrying out Topographical Surveys would be advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to communicate clearly to the public and team members.
- Ability to operate effectively in all weather conditions, or at night.
- Undertake own CPD.
- Ability to check and critically evaluate the work of others (drawings, calculations or reports).
- Active contribution to Technical Excellence and innovation across the survey team.
- Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to manage and mentor staff.
- Ability to travel to site and/or client offices/remote locations with surveying equipment as required.
