Responsibilities
- Work on onshore wind, PV and BESS projects throughout the EIA design and construction phases.
- Serve as Owner’s Engineer / Technical Advisor on many renewable projects in the UK.
- Perform design review and site supervision duties, carrying out construction phase inspections, including foundation pre‑pour inspections and post‑pour inspections.
- Assist with project administration tasks such as client meetings, progress reporting and technical queries.
- Review BoP contractor’s civil infrastructure designs (tracks, hardstands, foundations, control buildings, etc.).
- Contribute to H&S management, including review of RAMS and other construction documents such as Construction Environmental Management Plans or Traffic Management Plans.
- Manage construction project quality assurance and document control across multiple projects.
- Support Project Managers on contract payments and variations.
- Work with team members to develop 2D / 3D wind farm layouts using InfraWorks and AutoCAD.
- Assist with internal project management tasks such as forecasting, invoicing and resourcing.
- Develop proposals and bids for onshore wind projects and contribute to multi‑disciplinary proposals.
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering qualification.
- Chartered or working towards chartered status with the ICE.
- Experience of design and construction in renewable projects.
- Basic understanding of GIS, InfraWorks and AutoCAD software.
- Combined site experience with knowledge of CDM Regulations, health and safety, general on‑site civil construction experience and reinforcement detailing and checking.
- SMSTS or NEC4 Supervision accreditation preferred but not required (training will be given).
- Willing to travel all over the UK, potentially for continuous extended periods while undertaking site supervision duties.
- Ability to travel across the UK.
