The UK Business Administration team is the backbone of the UK WSP business and is key to the smooth running of the business. With clearly defined career pathways and exciting opportunities to develop, the team is made up of a Business Support team consisting of Business and Project Support, Document and Accessibility specialists, Graphics and Concierge. We also have a Personal Assistant network providing support to our senior directors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Professional administrator – expert problem solver and impeccable organiser.
  • Provide a professional and effective administrative and business support service.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across the business to support a range of requests.
  • Engage with colleagues to fulfil support requests and meet SLAs and performance standards.
  • Typical tasks include preparing presentations, documents, reports and work‑winning material to a high standard in line with WSP brand guidelines; purchasing and system support; HR tasks such as onboarding and inductions; coordinating events, meetings, socials, travel bookings and logistics; supporting project tasks and requests.
  • Provide cover for the Concierge team when required, answering calls and welcoming visitors.
  • Provide a high standard of client and employee care by proactively dealing with queries or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Act as the first point of contact for questions and queries and support current systems, policies, procedures and business continuity.
  • Support administration tasks including large printing, binding, photocopying, and raising support tickets.
  • Gain invaluable insight and experience of working for one of the world’s leading engineering professional services firms and work with internal stakeholders across many and varied functions and projects.
  • The role requires full‑time office‑based work due to the nature of the role.
What We Will Be Looking For
  • An eye for detail, effective communication and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); knowledge and understanding of Adobe InDesign and wider Adobe Creative Apps is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A minimum of 10 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English is desirable.

  • Be very comfortable using their own initiative.
  • Have the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with other UK colleagues.
