The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

As a Consultant within our Cost Intelligence and Estimating team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality estimating, cost intelligence and benchmarking services for major programmes and projects across infrastructure and built environment sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of modern cost management, combining core estimating and quantity surveying expertise with advanced cost intelligence to deliver high-value advisory services.

You will develop robust cost estimates and cost plans across the project lifecycle, applying construction cost management principles, methodologies and standards, while leveraging data-driven insights, benchmarking and digital tools to enhance accuracy, transparency and client decision-making. You will be involved in complex commissions, collaborate with colleagues globally and will have access to development and earning opportunities covering all career aspects ranging from technical competency and delivery expertise through to business development and growth plans.

Qualifications

  • Construction cost management, quantity surveying or relevant qualification and/or desire to pursue RICS chartership with our support
  • Demonstrable experience in infrastructure sectors, including applicable knowledge, ability and experience with regard to estimating and benchmarking at various design stages, digital tools, procurement and pre and post cost and commercial management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders
  • Passion about making a difference and being part of a dynamic team

Preferred

  • Transferable experience across other regulated infrastructure markets, especially in the water or energy sectors
  • Experience of using data visualisation or digital reporting tools such as Power BI to communicate cost intelligence insights
  • Familiarity with relevant specialist software such as CostX and CEMAR
  • Interest in developing beyond a technical role by supporting growth plans, bids, proposals and work‑winning activities
