A little more about your role…
The team comprises a mix of Accountants and Surveyors, currently with a compliment of nine. The team acts for many well-known brands including Next, Sainsburys, EE, Amazon, and Waterstones.
Each Client has personalised mailboxes and filing systems. The role will involve monitoring these mailboxes and assigning actions to team members via databases, requesting documents and, where appropriate, dealing with queries from Clients, Landlords and Managing Agents
Each client has specific KPIs and reporting requirements which are to be met, this can include various weekly and monthly reports, and any additional ad-hoc reports as requested.
The role involves the analysis of various documents and, where necessary, challenge of costs received by our clients. Given current pressures on retailers our work is essential in maximising Client’s profitability and giving confidence to their stakeholders that expenditure is being diligently controlled.
The team is a key area for growth within the wider WSP business, and we have been successful in securing new mandates in the last 6 months for Fatface, Oak Furnitureland and Ingeus.
As Associate in the team you will be confident to:
- To provide bespoke advice to major occupier clients in respect of service charges and insurance.
- To manage and grow your own client base and case load with a view to taking on more responsibility with increased experience.
- Developing excellent business relationships with new and existing clients.
- To assist with the preparation of tenders and business generation activities.
- To integrate fully in the wider WSP network and to develop relationships with key WSP retail service lines including Lease Advisory, Town Planning and Valuation to promote the team and leverage opportunities.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- Detailed knowledge of service charge statement and case law.
- MRICS qualified.
- Good general surveying and property/ asset management skills.
- Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial attitude to business development.
- Ability to work autonomously and co-ordinate tasks efficiently to ensure deadlines are met.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook).
