WSP is seeking Drainage Engineers at all grades who specialise in Water, Drainage and Environmental Engineering to design and deliver sustainable drainage solutions for high profile UK infrastructure projects, including rail, highway, local authority and aviation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver a wide variety of civil engineering projects, from concept through to detail design and construction support.
- Provide technical leadership and deliver drainage designs that meet statutory, design standard, health & safety and commercial requirements.
- Manage and mentor a team of drainage engineers, ensuring their technical development and the effective resourcing of projects.
- Build and maintain client relationships, attending progress meetings and providing expert technical advice.
Qualifications
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and/or a relevant degree (role dependant).
- Extensive post‑degree experience designing sustainable drainage solutions for transport and infrastructure projects.
- Proven knowledge of drainage design principles, UK Building Regulations, UK Design Standards, Codes of Practice and Health & Safety regulations.
- Experience with Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage or equivalent drainage modelling software.
- Successful management of projects/programmes and teams to meet quality and commercial targets.
- Technical expertise in at least one of the following areas: Highway Drainage, Rail Drainage, Airport Drainage, Asset Management, Foul Water, Sustainable foul and surface water drainage design, Drainage modelling software.
