Your Role
As a fire engineer, you’ll typically be working on a variety of projects at once from a University in Scotland to a high‑rise residential tower in London, with plenty of international projects. All with the same goal of enabling innovative architectural design without compromising on the fire safety of the building. You’ll be running through design information, liaising with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures, presenting designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and helping to inform the design team about what changes could be made to increase the safety of the building. In addition to the day‑to‑day role, we will assist the successful candidate toward his/her professional registration via IFE and other professional organisations.

Qualifications
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
- This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.
