You will coordinate and facilitate the entire project lifecycle, from early phase feasibility studies to detailed design and construction support, spanning small-scale studies and large-scale EPCM projects. You will also define, plan, and implement delivery structures and resources to realise business cases and return on investment for clients.

- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary task force teams and delivery groups effectively
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with all project stakeholders, including clients and internal colleagues
- Develop effective project strategies, execution plans, and delivery structures
- Communicate project requirements clearly (scope, objectives, deliverables, etc.)
- Create proposal and study documents including time and cost estimates (Fee/Cost of Works)
- Develop robust plans using best practice project management techniques (e.g., WBS, Gantt charts)
- Create realistic resource and financial forecasts, manage financial performance against budgets and targets
- Monitor project progress and productivity
- Lead the project risk management process
- Manage contracts, including change control (variation orders, contract extensions, etc.)
- Facilitate project reviews (constructability, value engineering, design safety, post-project)
- Produce regular project progress reports
- Lead, manage, and motivate teams, ensuring clear understanding of outcomes, roles, and responsibilities
- Identify and pursue business opportunities, develop and write bid proposals and responses to tenders
- Contribute to thought leadership materials, including white papers, case studies, and presentations

- Works well in complex organisations, developing strong rapport with clients and colleagues
- Excellent communication and listening skills, able to influence and interact positively and diplomatically at all levels
- Capable of managing conflicting priorities and providing positive solutions
- Works effectively under pressure, with high tolerance and adept conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work strategically as well as being hands-on when required
- Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas
- Management, mentoring, and development of junior consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment
- Proven track record in industrial and science sector project management, preferably in life sciences, healthcare, or construction consultancy
- Good working knowledge of project management tools and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate design, engineering, procurement, and construction management teams
- Commercial awareness and understanding of model form contracts (e.g., IChemE, NEC)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to present and chair at executive board level
- Substantial experience in engaging diverse stakeholder groups and translating technical information for non-technical audiences
- Recognised project/programme management qualifications and/or chartership (e.g. APM PMQ, Managing Successful Programmes, NEC PM accreditation, MRICS or ChPP)
- Robust financial management skills and commercial acumen
Evidence of networking, business development, bid experience/management, and work winning
- Degree qualification in a relevant scientific, engineering, or project management subject
- Association for Project Management β Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
- Extensive experience in a project management/program management capacity
