As an Associate/Associate Director, you will take a senior leadership role in the delivery of structural engineering services for Civil infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for leading project teams, managing client relationships, and driving technical excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the bridge/civil engineering function across projects of varying sizes, ensuring delivery to high standards of quality and safety.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise on complex challenges.
- Drive innovation in structural design, digital engineering, and sustainability initiatives.
- Mentor and develop engineers and technical teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Support business development through strategic proposals, bids, and client presentations.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and regulatory requirements across all projects.
We’re looking for an experienced leader with a strong technical background and a passion for bridge engineering. It is expected that you will be a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with extensive post-professional qualification experience. This experience should include the following:
- Proven ability to manage complex projects.
- Practical knowledge and experience of bridge design, maintenance, and assessment.
- Practical knowledge and experience of project management of bridge projects.
- Proven knowledge in design, maintenance, and supervision of structures related projects together with a track record of innovation in design and management of structures, ideally including new build, maintenance, assessment, and strengthening of bridges and civil structures infrastructure.
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills.
- Understanding and experience of use of Eurocodes and their application to bridge design.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
