A little more about your role…

  • Lead and manage projects within Liveable Places (part of our Planning, Communities & Mobility business) to ensure coordination of multi-disciplinary inputs.
  • Act as the CDM-Advisor on a large range of projects.
  • Provide Health & Safety in design support advice whilst ensuring compliance to the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
  • Provide and support our clients, designers and contractors on matters relating to CDM 2015.
  • Work with Clients and design teams to deliver compliant designs on time and within budget meeting CDM, QA and technical review requirements.
  • Advise, manage and provide CDM / Health & Safety training for our clients and designers.
  • Authorise Pre-Construction Information (PCI) and Health and Safety files issued to Contractors and Clients.
  • Lead the design process and encourage the rest of the team to deliver appropriate and cost-effective solutions to the agreed programme.
  • Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities.

Your Team

Liveable Places work with a wide range of local authority & private clients from across the UK to help them achieve their place making ambitions. We deliver a wide range of schemes from concept to delivery that include public realm, traffic engineering, road safety, traffic signals, pedestrian / traffic modelling, active travel, and parking. We have had recent key successes with various councils.

The Liveable Places team is based in offices across the country with over 200 staff, currently making up the team with further growth planned. We enjoy our work and are exceptionally enthusiastic people who are great at what we do. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop in your career through exposure to a wide variety of experiences.

We have a strong track record working closely with our clients and this role provides a great opportunity to have a pivotal role within Liveable Places and help support and steer its growth going forward.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • You will have achieved or be actively working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status.
  • Member of the Association of Project Safety (MaPS) or similar.
  • NEBOSH in Construction.
  • Highways design experience within a local authority / consultant environment.
  • Experience of undertaking the Project Manager role to NEC contracts would be desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to write concise reports and present to our clients.
