Responsibilities- To contribute to the technical development and delivery of studies and analysis within the power systems team, you will:
- Drive the development and growth of power systems studies and projects within the team;
- Deliver consulting work related to the various types of power systems studies and analysis;
- Provide technical and project management leadership to support the project team in the successful delivery of consulting work;
- Assist in the resourcing of the power systems team;
- Ensure quality delivery of power systems project and proposals;
- Work with project managers to ensure the successful delivery of power systems projects and take the role of project director on a range of projects.
- Develop and implement a business strategy and plan growth, which is clearly communicated and understood across the business;
- Build and maintain key client relationships to effectively position power systems services and secure future business;
- Identify areas where services/skill sets can be integrated through multi-disciplinary working, thereby developing and growing new services;
- Drive income generation and profitability of power systems services in accordance with clear performance metrics;
- Lead on efficiency improvements in delivery, for example driving the development of new scripts;
- Lead on excellence in software, including development of business cases for new software;
- Desire and drive to grow a team, including recruitment and development of staff.
- Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialisation;
- Extensive experience in power systems consulting;
- Desire and ability to drive growth in power systems;
- A wide network of industry contacts and clients;
- Proactive and highly motivated to meet customer requirements;
- Proven track record in leading teams;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often working on multiple projects/proposals at any one time;
- Ability to deliver client work efficiently to externally driven deadlines;
- Focus on quality, ensuring excellence of deliverables for both project reports and proposals.
