Overview
Associate and Associate Director – Fire Engineering role at WSP, Stockton-On-Tees, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Run through design information, liaise with other WSP disciplines such as Facades, Acoustics and Structures, present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service, and inform the design team about changes to increase building safety.
- Work on a variety of projects, including international assignments, with the goal of enabling innovative architectural design while maintaining fire safety.
- Participate in the professional registration process via IFE and other professional organisations; contribute to WSP’s fire engineering development programmes.
- Engage in a bespoke development programme to build professional skills and specialist technical knowledge, including training in technical report writing, team-grade technical skills, project management, influential communications, commercial concepts, team collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
- This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.
