We are looking for graduates for our Roads team, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. A Little bit more about your role and the team… Roads are a fundamental component of the built environment and WSP’s unparalleled experience in Roads and Highways helps craft projects for tomorrow’s needs by rethinking the way commuters travel across the UK and Ireland. Our roads design and technical assurance skills, together with our integrated behaviours, drive excellence in complex multi-disciplinary projects and frameworks at regional and national levels.
As a Graduate Engineer in the Roads team, you would be helping to deliver National and Regional Infrastructure Frameworks to major projects and local improvements including a wide variety of active travel walking and cycling schemes. We work in collaboration with many clients on both a local and national level and our work covers a range of activities at all stages of infrastructure delivery, for a wide range of public and private clients.
Projects Our teams work on some of the most prestigious projects in the UK, and you will be helping deliver projects such as:
- HS2
- Sizewell C
- Smart Motorways
- Dublin MetroLink
- NM20 Cork to Limerick
- A5 Western Transport Corridor
Roads Infrastructure Design Our Graduate Engineers in the Roads Infrastructure Design team, develop their design skills working on National transportation schemes, active travel schemes, public transport and rail interface projects, as well as Local Authority major schemes and minor improvement works.
Day-to-day activities could include:
- Designing and drafting of transport solutions
- Attending site visits and inspections
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Project Coordination
- Stakeholder Communication
- Assisting Senior Engineers
Graduate Development Programme Our two-year Graduate Development programme is designed to support personal and professional development and growth through an engaging blended learning experience.
What Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate You’ll have graduated with at least a 2:1 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject for the role you are applying for.
