We are looking for graduates for our Environmental Services teams who have a flexible approach and a willingness to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. You will enjoy working in a collaborative environment with a diverse range of clients and projects.

Locations and Services

We are recruiting for Graduates in the following services and locations:

  • Air Quality – London, Basingstoke, Birmingham or Exeter
  • Landscape Architecture – Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London

What you will do

As a Graduate in our Environmental Services teams you will work on innovative projects across a broad range of clients, sectors and scales. Responsibilities may include Nature Advisory (including Marine & Aquatics), Air Quality, Acoustics or Landscape Architecture.

Projects you may contribute to include:

  • Air Quality framework and GLA Air Quality Filters project
  • Air Quality: dispersion modelling, monitoring, environmental impact assessments, regulatory permitting and health risk communication
  • Air Quality – Sizewell Power Station fieldwork surveys
  • Landscape Architecture projects across local and national schemes, including active travel plans, renewable energy projects, public realm designs and town centre schemes

Air Quality – Day-to-day activities

  • Gain hands-on experience with dispersion modelling tools such as ADMS and ADMS-Roads
  • Design and implement ambient air quality monitoring plans
  • Contribute to bid submissions, quotes and tenders
  • Collaborate with clients, project teams and Local Authorities
  • Collate data and perform in-depth analyses
  • Prepare reports with findings and recommendations

We encourage involvement with the Institute of Air Quality Management and offer learning opportunities, including monthly topical presentations and personalised learning sessions.

Landscape Architecture – Day-to-day activities

  • Provide landscape consultancy services and technical input for projects as directed
  • Contribute to strategic studies, LVIA and TVIA technical reports
  • Advance design from feasibility to construction, including detailing and post-construction activities
  • Use software such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite

You will join an enthusiastic team, working with internal and external stakeholders in dynamic projects.

Graduate Development Programme and progression

Our two-year Graduate Development programme supports personal and professional development through blended learning, core business and professional skills training, mentoring for professional registration and on-the-job experience. We encourage chartered status with professional bodies and support through training agreements.

What we’re looking for

You will have graduated with at least a 2:2 in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject. To help you find areas of the business relevant to you, please visit the Graduate brochure or Graduate website.

  • Candidates must fully complete the application form, answering all questions. Successful applicants may then complete an online skill enabler assessment. Both are essential parts of the recruitment process.
  • Start dates: April or September 2026.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for creativity, numerical skills and problem solving.
  • Passion for data analysis and interpretation using Excel and GIS.
  • Willingness to travel to sites and client offices as required.
