About the Role
As an apprentice you will work with dynamic teams on a variety of projects across multiple sectors. You will gain hands‑on experience, ask questions, look at problems from different angles, and help find solutions. Apprenticeship opportunities are available in the following areas:
- Building Services Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Embedded Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Environmental Practitioner
- Project Management
- Rail and Rail Systems Engineering
Apprenticeship Programme
You will attend a local university one day per week or in block placements while working towards a full undergraduate degree. The programme lasts 5‑6 years and includes blended learning, business and role‑specific training, networking, mentoring, practical experience and on‑demand resources.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSE’s Grade C/Level 5 or above (or equivalent) including English, Maths and Science.
- Achieved or predicted A Level grades BBC (or equivalent) are typically required, although certain apprenticeship programmes may specify BBB or higher.
- To study Engineering subjects a grade C minimum at A level in Maths or further Maths is essential.
- OR achieved or predicted a BTEC Extended Diploma (Level 3) with grades DDM in an engineering‑related subject. This must include a further Maths component.
