Our PMCM organisation provides project and programme delivery specialists in Project and Programme Management, Commercial Management, Planning and Project Controls, Design and Construction Management. We support clients in sectors including highways, rail, civils infrastructure, property and buildings, aviation, ports, public transport and defence helping deliver safe, efficient and future ready networks with lasting value.

A little more about your role… We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Strategic Growth Director to establish and grow the PMCM business in Ireland at a time of unprecedented business opportunity. This role will be predominantly based in our new Dublin office with travel expected across Ireland and occasional visits to the UK. As a key member of the PMCM Business Leadership Team, you will work closely with the PMCM Business Unit Managing Director and the WSP Ireland Country Lead to define and deliver a strategic growth plan that strengthens our market position and drives sustainable business performance. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on market development, client engagement, and strategic partnerships, ensuring the growth of a strong and resilient project portfolio across the island of Ireland.

• Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Growth & Market Development
• Develop and implement the PMCM Ireland Growth Strategy, aligned with regional and global business objectives.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across key sectors including Rail, Highways, Water, Energy, and Local Government.
• Expand WSP’s presence by leveraging existing client relationships and establishing new strategic connections.
• Client & Account Leadership
• Build and maintain a strong network of senior client relationships across Ireland including but not limited to TII, NTA, Irish Rail, Uisce Éireann, Local Authorities.
• Lead a structured key account management framework, setting and delivering annual account targets.
• Represent WSP at industry forums, conferences, and key stakeholder engagements.
• Partnership & Pipeline Development
• Establish strategic partnerships to support pipeline growth and capability enhancement.
• Collaborate with PMCM Group Directors and Sector Leads to align resource planning with market demand.
• Ensure a robust and sustainable pipeline of opportunities across Ireland.
• Leadership & Performance
• Build the PMCM resource capacity and capability in both our Belfast and Dublin office locations to support project portfolio delivery across the island of Ireland.
• Support the PMCM Business Unit MD in achieving pre agreed target business outcomes relating to pipeline growth, successful project awards, strategic account growth and profit margins.
• Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.

About You

You are an experienced leader with a strong track record in infrastructure delivery and business growth, combined with deep market insight and exceptional relationship-building skills.

Professional Experience and Accreditations - Essential

• Significant leadership experience in a client-facing environment.
• Approx. 20 years’ experience delivering major infrastructure projects (typically €50m+).
• Proven expertise in rail and/or large-scale infrastructure programmes.
• Strong commercial and contract management experience (e.g. NEC, FIDIC, COE).
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive business outcomes.
• Degree in Engineering or Project Management.
• Chartered status in a relevant discipline.
• Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g. APM, ICE, IET).

Professional Experience and Accreditations - Desirable

• Experience in water sector project delivery.
• Multi-sector client account management experience within Ireland.
