The Role

We are the largest and most successful Land business supporting infrastructure development in the UK and Ireland, with 300+ specialist professional colleagues consisting of land consultants, property specialists, project managers and utility and topographical surveyors. We have the widest portfolio of projects available in our industry, offering unrivalled opportunities to both develop and diversify careers, working on some of the most exciting and challenging projects across the whole of the UK and Ireland. This is a Fixed Term Contract role and involves visiting properties within a designated area in South-west Greater London to gather information directly from residents and businesses. The individual will work on site, going door‑to‑door to collect accurate data, explain the purpose of the project, and act as a professional representative of the organisation. You will have the opportunity to prove your credentials and the contract may be extended on a fixed term or permanent basis.

Joining WSP, you will have access to our Land Academy which is designed and delivered by our expert Land team for our Land team, with a focus on providing the best standard training and CPD across the industry and support and guidance to achieve your chartership. With a network of experts available to guide, we support your management and ownership of your own projects, client advisory, line management, presentation, training and leadership skills. We will support you to hone and develop your skills to deliver the most exciting projects in the UK – your work with us really makes a difference to the legacy of infrastructure in the UK.

The role can be based either our Guildford or Central London Office but will be predominantly site-based.

Core Functions

  • Conduct door‑to‑door engagement with residents, businesses, and property owners.
  • Explain the project clearly, answer basic queries, and build trust with the community.
  • Collect accurate information using digital or paper‑based forms.
  • Carry out site observations to support project information gathering.
  • Record, organise, and submit data in line with project requirements.
  • Identify issues, concerns, or risks raised by residents and elevate appropriately.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable presence on site at all times.
  • Work closely with the project team to report progress and highlight any access challenges.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and safeguarding protocols while working in the field.
