A little bit more about your role: We are looking for consultants to join the Rolling Stock & Depots team at WSP. The team provides support to clients in the UK rolling stock industry and rolling stock expertise into broader rail projects delivered by WSP in the UK and globally. We are engineers, but we can also think commercially and operationally. Our work covers light rail, metro, regional, high-speed, freight, and road-rail vehicles. We work across the whole rolling stock product life-cycle, from concept, feasibility, procurement and design through to manufacture, service introduction, maintenance, and overhaul. Additionally, we have expertise in depot design and operations.

You will be responsible for providing rolling stock consultancy advice to internal and external clients. You may be asked to take on project responsibilities including planning, project management, and bidding for new work. You will engage with our clients and take a pro-active role in WSP UK and global communities. We will expect you to build and use your network both externally and internally to solve problems and generate new work.

  • Technical rolling stock experience, gained in a variety of rail environments.
  • An interest in the UK and international rolling stock market.

  • Chartered or working towards chartership.
