- Provide strategic direction and oversee the successful delivery of environmental projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with sustainability and climate resilience objectives.
- Motivate and empower multi‑disciplinary teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
- Engage proactively with senior clients and stakeholders, co‑creating solutions and cultivating long‑term trusted partnerships.
- Manage contract delivery effectively, utilising project controls and contract management systems to oversee change, programme milestones, commercial outcomes and risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement robust risk and change management approaches to ensure project resilience and achievement of business goals.
- Promote innovation and best practices, integrating sustainability, safety and digital tools into all aspects of project delivery.
- Support business growth by contributing to high‑quality bids and proposals that secure future opportunities and expand our impact.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
- Leadership in delivering standalone environmental projects and managing key environmental workstreams within large, multidisciplinary programmes by collaborating with engineering, planning and regulatory stakeholders, and ensuring accountability for environmental outcomes.
- Track record of successfully delivering complex environmental components as part of major infrastructure projects.
- Practical experience with NEC4 PSC contracts (particularly Options A and E).
- Proven ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and with senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of environmental consenting and the associated planning regime.
- Possession of or working towards project management qualifications, notably APM PMQ (support towards chartership available).
- Robust project management skills, including: Programme (critical path, dependencies and milestones), Commercial acumen, including financial oversight and budget management, Change management, Health, safety and quality management and leadership.
