Your New Role, what’s Involved?

  • We are seeking a Technical Director to be based out of our London office.
  • Grow and develop our local government offer in London, and the wider UK with a focus on new business whilst also working with our existing clients to secure new opportunities.
  • Bring fresh thinking & opportunities to our Liveable Places team and be a recognised leader in the industry.
  • Act as Project Director for a wide range of Parking, Transport and Public Realm projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the Liveable Places team, our colleagues in Local Government and the wider WSP business to achieve our aims and objectives.

Your Team

Liveable Places works with a wide range of local authority & private clients from across the UK to help them achieve their place making ambitions. We deliver a wide range of schemes from concept to delivery that include public realm, traffic engineering, road safety, traffic signals, pedestrian / traffic modelling, active travel, parking, and transport planning. We have had recent key successes with West Sussex County Council, Hampshire County Council, Westminster City Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, Leeds City Council, West of England Combined Authorities and many, many more. The Liveable Places team is based in offices across the country with around 200 staff currently making up the team with significant growth planned. We enjoy our work and are exceptionally enthusiastic people who are great at what they do. This is a great opportunity for you to develop in your career through exposure to a wide variety of experiences. We have a strong track record working closely with our clients and this role provides a great opportunity to have a pivotal role within Liveable Places and help support and steer its growth going forward.

We’d love to hear from if you have:

  • A civil engineering, landscape architecture, transport planning degree or equivalent.
  • Corporate membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Significant knowledge and experience of delivering multi-disciplinary schemes across the Project Lifecycle with the proven ability to act as Project Director and Project Manager.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams.
  • Proven experience of managing significant client accounts with public and local authority clients.
  • A track record in winning work.
