Over the last 12 months the UK Direct Procurement Team have developed and delivered value to WSP at pace, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Programme Manager to join the UK Direct Procurement team to unlock opportunities for our team to deliver more! Reporting to the UK Direct Lead, this is a new role that will lead the development and implementation of critical tools and frameworks to enable our team to achieve its strategic goals to deliver best in class Procurement aligned with WSP's three year plan.

Developing relationships and working collaboratively with cross functional teams such as Global Centre of Excellence, P2P Systems team, the UK Project Delivery Excellence team, and Finance to design and implement smart, efficient and intuitive tools to drive greater business value. What you will do

  • You’ll design and implement a consistent Supplier Relationship Management framework for the UK Direct supply chain, ensuring a Procurement Excellence solution is rolled out and embedded throughout the UK business.
  • Collaborate closely with the Category, Commercial and Operation teams to achieve Supplier Relationship Management goals.
  • The business has a relatively new Oracle module – CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) which is used for contracting with our Clients. You’ll project manage and train the Direct Procurement team to onboard onto CLM and link in with Supplier Relationship Management if appropriate.
  • Our Direct Procurement strategy consists of six pillars, and to keep us on track with performance we want to develop Direct KPIs. You’ll identify the best KPIs to drive the strategy, define the methodology, baseline current position, set the target and develop and automate routine reporting of the KPIs.
  • The significant change and progress made over the last 12 months as well as Global Procurement changes impacting ways of working requires the review and updating of Direct Procurement Policy. This will include making recommendations for improving policy process efficiency.
  • Linked to above you’ll complete a rehaul of the Direct Procurement intranet page. This is critical for the ongoing engagement with the business and the means to publish all the tools and frameworks we have and we are developing for business efficiency and value.
  • Assist the team develop case studies to support the business win work.
  • Further development and enhancement of routine and dashboard reporting.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate

  • Proven track record of delivering change programmes.
  • Deep Procurement experience from delivering value from Category Management to best practice Process, Systems and Policy.
  • Cross functional project management, able to develop solutions and lead and deliver within a matrix environment.
  • Strong leadership, self-motivated and a curious mindset.
  • Strong skills in process management, analytics, planning & performance.
  • A detailed knowledge of procurement analytical and planning models and approaches / techniques necessary to achieve best in class P2P.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Problem solving and decision making.
  • Gravitas to engage with and influence senior personnel.
  • Shown that you can work with key stakeholders across the business, at different levels of seniority.
  • Demonstrated skill to identify innovative and creative solutions to activity, problems or perceived issues.
  • Capability to drive insight through analysis of key management information.
  • Use of Power BI.
