About the role

The Rail Engineering Services (RES) team within WSP’s Rail division is actively seeking a BIM Coordinator to lead MEP delivery of our diverse portfolio of multidisciplinary rail engineering projects.

The role could be based in one of our Central London offices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support at a project level assembling baseline existing design information models and discipline‑specific template design coordination models.
  • Support the Technical Discipline Leads with enhancing their design processes that maximise structured information exchange across multiple software platforms and systems.
  • Provide support to the engineering discipline teams in the production of their 3D modelling outputs, mentoring and upskilling technical staff if requested.

  • Undertake project work from early concept stage to detail design.
  • Deliver projects for Network Rail, HS2, Transport for The North, Tf GM, Nexus, Local Authorities, Principal Contractors and Private Developers.

Qualifications

  • Either an engineering qualification (HND or similar preferred) or appropriate experience working on infrastructure design projects, preferably at tender and detailed design stages.

Industry‑recognised CAD/BIM software certification is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in the use of 3D design through Bentley AECOsim V8i.
  • Proficiency in Bentley Project Wise V8i for data management and working knowledge of Bentley e B for document management.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including macros, look‑ups and pivot tables; experience of VBA advantageous. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office software packages.
