Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science or a related discipline with early‑career or developing experience in simulation, modelling or analytical roles. Experience of rail operations or performance analysis is advantageous but not essential.
  • Familiarity with simulation, analytical or data analysis tools, with experience or exposure to AnyLogic essential.
  • A logical, structured approach to problem‑solving, with the ability to analyse information and apply sound reasoning to technical challenges.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for developing technical skills, with a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, adapting your style to suit different audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
