WSP Solicitors is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Senior Associate/Associate Lawyer to join our growing Commercial Property department. This is a senior, client‑facing role for a commercially aware property lawyer who combines strong technical ability with leadership capability and a commitment to delivering outstanding client outcomes.
Commercial Property is a key strategic growth area for WSP. In this role, you will handle high‑quality work, develop and strengthen client relationships, support the growth of the department, and play an active role in shaping a long‑established yet forward‑thinking practice within a supportive, people‑first firm.

Key Responsibilities- Managing a varied and high‑quality caseload across all aspects of commercial property law, including buying, selling, and leasing.
- Advising clients on landlord and tenant matters and a broad range of commercial property agreements, including technically demanding documentation.
- Providing clear, practical, and commercially focused advice using plain English.
- Acting for a broad range of commercial clients and building strong, long‑term client relationships.
- Demonstrating a commercially aware, client‑first approach in all matters.
- Playing an active role in strategic marketing, networking, and business development, bringing new high‑quality clients to the firm.
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues within the Commercial Property team.
- Contributing to a collaborative, supportive, and high‑performing team culture.
- Working closely with colleagues across the firm to support departmental and firm‑wide objectives.
- Continuing to develop your technical expertise, commercial awareness, and leadership skills through internal and external training.
- Circa 5+ years’ PQE as a Commercial Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with practice rights.
- Proven experience across all aspects of commercial property law, including buying, selling, and leasing.
- A solid working knowledge of property law and landlord and tenant law.
- A proven track record of building and developing strong client relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience contributing to marketing and business development activity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to clear, plain‑English advice.
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and IT skills.
- An enthusiastic, team‑focused approach with a good balance of technical excellence and commercial judgement.
