The Role
Bright, enthusiastic and committed legal practitioner to join and contribute to the success and growth of the family department, undertaking a caseload of a broad range of family law matters, including divorce and separation, financial remedies, private children matters, and cohabitation disputes. Excellent opportunity to gain skills and experience and have a hand in the development of a long established, forward-thinking and expanding firm. The role will also involve active participation in the development of the department and in the firm’s marketing, article drafting, PR, business development, social media and networking activities, as appropriate.
Your Experience & Technical Ability
- Qualified Senior Solicitor/Associate with at least 4-5 years relevant experience advising on family law matters.
- Solid knowledge and experience in divorce, finances and private law children work.
- Will be required to meet clients, attend court hearings and advocate.
- Resolution membership or similar accreditation is desirable.
- Compassionate and professional approach to sensitive client issues.
- Ability and willingness to learn and manage workload in an efficient and organised manner and meet clients’ demanding requirements.
- Enthusiastic, ambitious and dynamic with excellent communication skills and an ability to get on with people.
- Be a strong team player prepared to build relationships and understand the industry you operate in and the challenges you face.
- Have an excellent balance between technical ability and commercial awareness and be IT proficient.
