Join our Transport & Mobility Planning team in Guildford. We deliver a wide range of transport planning services to local authorities and national government organisations.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a variety of projects and proposals, providing technical and commercial input and delivering high‑quality outputs in line with client requirements.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other WSP service lines to deliver large projects from concept to delivery.
- Support securing and delivering work for our diverse local client portfolio.
- Contribute to the financial performance of your projects and the commercial performance of our team.
- Make an active contribution to WSP’s four key pillars: People; Clients & Growth; Operations; and Expertise.
Team
We undertake a wide range of transport planning technical work for our clients, including active travel solutions; public transport network planning; scheme development and appraisal; business case development; and government funding applications for all types of transport schemes. Our clients include local authorities, national government organisations and private sector organisations. The team is based in Guildford, in London Square, close to the London Road Train Station.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in transport and mobility planning and design, and transport data analysis.
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Experience working with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients.
- Experience with software packages such as TRICS, Junction 10 and LinSIG.
- Understanding of project management skills developed across a range of transport and multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Creative, innovative mind‑set, lateral thinker.
