  • OHL Project Managers & Design Engineers (Experience of Wood Pole and/or Towers)
  • Cable Project Managers & Cable Design Engineers
  • Substation Plant & Equipment Project Managers & Design Engineers
  • Control & Protection Design Engineers
  • Primary Design Engineers
  • System Network Planning Engineers

Qualifications:

  • HNC in an Engineering Discipline.
  • Previous experience in Project Management, Design or System Network Planning for UK Distribution and/or Transmission Companies.
  • Project Management involving CAPEX and Customer connection projects at voltages from 11kV to 400kV, from initiation to closure.
  • OHL Tower and Wood Pole design with PLS-Cadd, Pole and Tower experience.
  • Design of AIS & GIS substations up to 400kV.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards for EHV plant, substations (including earthing and electrical clearances).
  • Experience as Designer and Principal Designer under CDM regulations.
  • Ability to design EHV substations with CAD systems and use document control systems.
  • Understanding of technical documentation for electrical substation design.
  • Network system design and planning, including technical and cost assessment of options.
  • Electrical system design and protection setting calculations.
  • Distribution and Transmission Authorisations (particularly TP(BP)141).

Responsibilities:

Deliver crucial national electricity infrastructure by planning, designing, and delivering new customer connections and network reinforcements in partnership with TNOs, DNOs, contractors and developers. Work across the UK in On‑Shore and Off‑Shore Electricity Transmission and Distribution markets, ensuring infrastructure supports green investment and new technologies.
