Your Role
We are seeking a C&I Engineer to join our Energy Transition Team, contributing to its success. The role involves leading a team of electrical, instrumentation, and control engineers in designing a wide range of energy projects, including waste-to-energy plants, industrial facilities, and carbon capture schemes. The UK Energy Transition team offers services from project inception through development, construction, operation, and decommissioning, supporting clients throughout the project lifecycle. Our expertise covers thermal generation, conversion technologies, and innovative low or zero-carbon solutions like future fuels and CCS. We collaborate with private developers, utilities, government, banks, contractors, and OEMs to deliver projects safely and exceed expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop cost-effective, innovative solutions within the project team.
- Deliver projects at various stages, including feasibility, concept, FEED, value engineering, and detailed design.
- Develop C&I deliverables such as design philosophies, specifications, diagrams, datasheets, schedules, and layouts.
- Collaborate with vendors on equipment design and evaluate vendor proposals.
- Contribute to proposals and bids for the EC&I discipline.
- Provide technical leadership and governance.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Engineering with postgraduate experience in C&I design.
- Chartered Engineer or working towards IEng/CEng, member of a relevant institute.
- Leadership desire and ability in C&I deliverables development.
- Knowledge of power and energy project design and construction.
- Experience with client and contractor objectives, design processes, calculations, and scope documents.
