Qualified Senior Architect who supports concept, planning and the technical design of construction projects in a range of sectors including development of the project design, production of presentation drawings and sketches. The Senior Architect is responsible for leading specific aspects of the project and project team to assist in the overall effort of completing the various phases of the project.
Job Responsibilities- Undertake the role of Project Architect across a varied portfolio of Design Projects.
- Duties include the development and implementation of project design concepts, project modelling, developing sketches, conducting research and data collection, preparing presentations and reports, and general production of design and construction documents.
- Works on multiple projects, providing concepts and techniques in ways that may explore new ways of achieving design solutions, completing tasks within established deadlines and budgets, and effectively utilizing resources to address project requirements.
- Interacts with clients and consultants, participates on project development, and presents ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Prepares, manages, and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, and details, as directed by others in the project team, following standards and archiving documents as appropriate.
- Develops solutions to technical and design problems following established design standards.
- Assist in the development of project scope, plans, and services during the contract process.
- Prepares 2D and 3D presentations, design drawings and renderings.
- Assist with bidding opportunities.
- Performs product research and assists with materials selection and system research.
- Develop the WSP Architecture brand, principally through quality of delivery and design.
- Able to manage junior colleagues and provide guidance and support where necessary, specifically in assisting the development of colleagues going through their Part 3.
- Manage design tasks and deliverables and report on progress against the design programme to the project lead.
- Report on the progress and risks associated with the programme.
- Follow company values and exhibit appropriate behaviours.
- Manage time efficiently and assist/input into team meetings to review design programme.
