Principal OHL Engineer (Energy) Join WSP to lead the design, delivery and technical governance of Overhead Line (OHL) Engineering across the UK and Ireland. Responsibilities Communicate company goals and technical standards to OHL engineering teams. Develop, approve and audit design documentation and technical procedures for OHL projects. Solve engineering challenges through technical leadership and collaboration with clients, contractors and developers. Supervise OHL design phases from concept through detailed design, ensuring quality, safety and environmental standards. Create engineering estimates and coordinate business development activities. Approve engineering designs and cost estimates for submission to the client and project sponsors. Delegate tasks and supervise staff training. Perform quality control checks on all OHL designs, systems and products. Approve recognition and reward of good work. Maintain client relationships and direct technical leadership on design, health and safety, quality and environmental issues. Report to the OHL Director on technical services, client relationships and team performance.
