WSP in the UK & Ireland invites applications for the Offshore Wind Consultant (Energy) role. This position focuses on driving success across offshore wind projects, providing technical due diligence and advisory, and supporting the development and delivery of the pipeline. WSP is a global engineering and professional services firm with a strong focus on renewable energy, supporting UK and global projects including energy generation, grid connections, and interconnectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage offshore wind consultancy projects ensuring they meet technical, financial, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring their needs are met.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the offshore wind sector, contributing to the growth of the consultancy and engineering functions, and represent the company in industry discussions.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert and technical lead on consultancy projects, supporting project teams from advisory to operations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, project management, environmental teams, and others to deliver solutions.

What we are looking for
- Experience in the renewable energy sector with significant offshore wind project experience, preferably in an established consultancy.
- Track record of providing technical consultancy services in offshore wind, including feasibility analysis, site selection, supply chain studies, technology assessments, wind farm design, conceptual design, energy yield assessments, business case analysis, DEVEX, CAPEX and OPEX estimates, technical due diligence or lender technical advisory.
- Knowledge of offshore wind industry standards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
- Strong leadership, project management and communication skills.
- Professional certifications with a relevant industry body.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, suppliers and industry representatives.
- An established network in the offshore wind industry.
- Effective people management skills, particularly coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Experience with budget management and reporting.
- Ability to travel, including possible international travel.
