Responsibilities
As a Project Controls professional you’ll be used to facing a wide range of technical, commercial, people and other challenges across complex railway and infrastructure projects from initial feasibility through to delivery and operation.
Key Activities Will Include (but Not Be Limited To)
- Supporting the Project Controls function on various projects to align with:
- Schedule Management
- Cost Management
- Change Management
- Risk and Opportunity Management
- Appropriate integration of supplier information
- Appropriate measurement of suppliers’ progress
- Timely supply of cost, progress and programming information
You’ll understand the importance of implementing robust systems and processes to ensure that projects deliver value for money in achieving client goals and requirements as well as cost and programme targets. In parallel with project work you’ll support major bids, liaise with clients on their upcoming projects and contribute to and potentially lead wider business initiatives.
Our Team
The Project Management & Controls team support major Rail clients on a variety of complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Our national clients range from Network Rail, HS2, local authorities, not to mention our extensive international project portfolio. Our teams comprise Project and Programme Manager, Engineering Managers and Commercial Management experts. We work in a flexible and supportive environment, sharing knowledge and helping in the development of our team members and clients alike. You will work to support project leaders in the successful delivery of multidisciplinary projects through the provision of robust data and analysis.
Qualifications
- A passion for deploying, delivering, and innovating within Project Controls
- Degree, in relevant discipline.
- Have a pathway to achieve chartership, approaching Chartered or Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body
- Client or project delivery (design or construction) Rail, Metro or Transport experience an advantage.
- Proven ability to work successfully in multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent attention to detail to produce, validate and check reports and data sets.
- Experience in a consultancy environment with good client relationship management skills.
- Experience in Power Query / Power BI preferable in tandem with established reporting/planning/contract management tools
