Our Energy Networks business serves the UK and beyond in Off‑Shore and On‑Shore Electricity Transmission and Distribution. The Networks team plans, designs and delivers new connections and network reinforcements to ensure the infrastructure is ready for green investment and new technologies.
Responsibilities:- Provide technical leadership for the delivery of multi‑discipline projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the contract and meet client satisfaction, identifying and managing Health and Safety risks.
- Actively develop external and internal client relationships.
- Coordinate technical management of subcontractors and remote resources.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks.
- Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
- Participate in industry working groups such as CIGRE and IEEE.
- Build and maintain external and internal relationships.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power engineering.
- Extensive experience in design, manufacture and test of HV cables for HVAC and HVDC projects both onshore and offshore; including HV cable system design and ratings (CYMCAP).
- Understanding of IEC cable standards and CIGRE technical policies.
- Experience witnessing third‑party cable activities such as test, installation and transport.
- Experience with working groups and technical committees such as CIGRE and IEEE.
- Attained or working toward Chartered Engineer status.
- Willingness to travel as projects dictate.
