We are looking for an experienced BIM coordinator with a strong background in using Common Data Environments (CDEs) and proficiency in CAD software for civil engineering projects. This role focuses on hydraulic design software and its integration with CAD tools to create smart automations that improve workflows across multiple platforms.
As a BIM Coordinator, you’ll lead document control on various projects, set CAD and document standards, and drive efficiency through automation and streamlined processes. You’ll collaborate with an experienced team, building on your knowledge of delivery requirements and QA processes for water engineering projects, and develop your career in a cutting‑edge 3‑D BIM and CDE environment.
Typical week would include:
- Drawing coordination and data control
- Creation of BIM Execution Plans for projects
- Compliance with BIM content standards, execution plan and project workflow
- Performing CAD quality checks on drawings and documents
- Developing workflows and improving the efficiency of the team
- Creating templates and standard details for use by the team
- Collaboration and coordination with other teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Industry experience specific to infrastructure drainage engineering
- A passion for digital, BIM technology and delivery and continuous improvement
- Good communication, client handling and interpersonal skills
- Experience in project delivery
- Experience in 3‑D modelling and design coordination
- Ability to challenge and contribute to engineering detailing
- Experience working with EDMS solutions such as Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk BIM 360, etc.
- Experience coordinating inter‑disciplinary information in a 3‑D environment
- Working knowledge of BIM standards such as PASAA 1192 and BS EN ISO 19650
- HNC/HND/Degree in engineering or an associated engineering field
