Join to apply for the Assistant Arboriculturist role at WSP in the UK & Ireland. A Little More About Your Role… Do you have a passion for trees? WSP has a large, highly experienced and friendly Ecology and Arboriculture team who get involved with a diverse range of projects across a number of sectors within the UK for both private and public clients. You will be expected to be involved with several projects concurrently and be a proactive member of the team.

We have GIS and CAD specialists within WSP so knowledge of these systems is not required but is an advantage. Experience of working with digital data capture devices such as tablets in the field is preferred. The Arboriculture and Forestry team and its projects are spread across the UK so there is flexibility on location.

Your New Role Involved?

  • Provide support to Senior and Consultant Arboriculturists.
  • Site‑based surveys, assessments, measurements, inspections and monitoring in relation to BS5837:2012 and tree hazard assessments.
  • Collation and interpretation of arboricultural information from desk studies.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports and feasibility studies.
  • Data analysis and project management.

  • Appropriate academic qualification in arboriculture or working towards a suitable qualification.

  • An understanding of health and safety in the workplace and a responsibility to always act professionally.
  • A desire to develop your core arboriculture and consultancy skills.
