Role Overview

You will become part of a busy team, working together to support our engineers in credit risk and new client setup for the exciting projects they will be delivering for their clients. The majority of your time will be spent running and reviewing credit risk reports, researching and evaluating client credit worthiness, and building relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and our operational business. You will become a key member of the wider business team and an expert in credit risk in our industry.

Responsibilities

  • Run and review credit risk reports and assess client credit worthiness.
  • Research and evaluate the credit of new and existing clients.
  • Monitor and review existing credit limits and conduct detrimental monitoring.
  • Build productive relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Join calls and contribute to decision making based on knowledge and recommendations.
  • Raise the profile of the credit risk policy and Credit Management services.
  • Team‑work to ensure coverage when others are on holiday.

Qualifications

  • Credit risk, credit control/accounts receivable, or other transactional accounting experience (accounts payable, treasury, cash application, billing).
  • Experience in a professional services environment (law firm, consultancy) or engineering/construction sector preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, time and meet deadlines.
  • Great attention to detail and understanding of delivering excellent service to customers.
  • Strong communication skills – proficient in telephone and written communication.
  • Ability to write accurate and concise emails.
  • Studying for or holding CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) qualification or other relevant qualifications.
