Role based in Newcastle or Teesside. Accountable for the project management, technical leadership and delivery of schemes from inception through to handover to the client.
What You’ll Do
- Develop innovative and sustainable designs from concept for a wide range of projects, including transportation hubs, tall towers, healthcare, defence and education schemes, with national and local architects.
- Lead multi-disciplinary design projects from concept through detailed design, in coordination with Architects, Engineers and specialist consultants.
- Contribute to the delivery of a growing order book and overall project success.
- Join a diverse team and help deliver high-profile multi-disciplinary development projects across sectors including Transportation, High-rise, Commercial & Mixed use, Retail, Education and Healthcare.
Your Team
- Be part of a team that takes a strategic lead on large multi-disciplinary projects and provides bespoke structural solutions to niche and architect-led designs.
- Form strong working relationships with other WSP disciplines, external design consultants, stakeholders and clients.
- Provide sustainable development solutions from site selection through to detailed design and construction.
- Offer specialist advice and design solutions on sustainable design, net zero carbon, MMC & DfMA.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
- A proven track record of successful design delivery, ideally in major projects and other challenging multi-discipline building projects, particularly concept design and project inception stages.
- Project management and technical delivery leadership experience of medium to large schemes.
- Excellent inter-personal skills with leadership potential and the ability to communicate effectively with the project team, stakeholders & clients.
- Chartered (MIStructE/MICE).
- Significant experience and capability in the commercial and technical management of projects using appropriate business tools.
- Significant experience of team management responsibilities including line management and day-to-day operations.
- Significant experience of operating as a lead client contact for consultancy services and fostering excellent relationships with clients and co-professionals.
