WSP UK & Ireland is a senior role within our Rail Strategy & Feasibility team. This team provides strategic rail advice and supports clients on early‑stage projects across the rail network.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic rail advice to external and internal clients.
- Act as a central coordinating lead on multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Develop and deliver our rail‑focused service offering covering light rail, freight and local authority projects.
- Plan, manage and deliver tasks and projects, and bid for new work.
- Engage with clients and build a network within the WSP UK and global communities to solve problems and generate new business.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience working in light rail, freight or transport for local authorities, with understanding of legislative and funding processes.
- Broad knowledge across operational planning, strategic planning, business case development, and engineering feasibility.
- Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative professional with a pro‑active approach.
- Experience in business development, bidding and consultancy.
- Organisational and stakeholder management skills, with ability to plan and manage projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Professionally qualified or working towards professional qualifications.
