A Little More About Your Role…
PPP and Property Services team business have extensive experience providing lenders, investors, and developers with advice on privately financed infrastructure projects including secondary markets. We offer a full range of technical advice in the infrastructure sector and real estate within the PPP/PFI/P3 markets in the UK, Europe, and North America. We have been offering these services for over 20 years and are widely recognised as a leading consultant in this field.
An opportunity has arisen for a due diligence technical adviser to strengthen our team; as a result, we are considering applications for a professional at principal level. The role will be based in our London Chancery Lane or Birmingham Mailbox office.
Responsibilities
- You will be a Principal PPP and Property Services team member focusing on transport-related assets, responsible for managing project delivery across the United Kingdom and overseas regions.
- Project manage technical due diligence activities on high-profile projects primarily in the transportation sector; knowledge and/or experience in other sectors such as real estate, social infrastructure and healthcare will be an advantage.
- Lead and/or contribute to the technical delivery of due diligence projects.
- Assist in business development activities with existing and new clients.
- Assist the team in achieving its strategic growth plans.
- Continuously seek out new niche market opportunities.
- Collaborate with the WSP UK and WSP Global PPP teams to deliver projects successfully.
- Able to communicate knowledgeably with non-technical experts about complex technical issues is essential.
- Keep abreast of Industry knowledge & trends in the infrastructure finance space.
- Lead and/or support the preparation of bids and marketing materials to secure new commissions.
- Short-term travel assignments both in the UK and overseas will be required.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…
- A track record in providing technical advice in infrastructure investment and finance particularly on PPP/PFI/P3 projects.
- Relevant degree in civil/structural engineering or a numerate discipline, e.g., economics, mathematics, or science-based.
- Chartered or near chartered status or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Knowledge and experience of the various stages of infrastructure development, from initial support to bidders through to financial close, construction, operations monitoring, maintenance, and refinancing.
- Understanding of operational, financial, commercial, and management principles.
- Experience in reviewing PPP contracts, payment mechanisms, asset management programmes, risk assessment, and technical inputs into financial model.
- Ability to manage client relationships and business development initiative.
