WSP is a leading engineering and professional services firm with a global scale, providing landmark projects across the rail industry. The Client Engineering and Advisory Services group within our UK Rail team delivers systemic and integrated rail solutions. The Strategy and Feasibility team works on early-stage development projects, developing proposals for new stations and freight facilities, evaluating new passenger and freight services, and providing technical rail advice to public and private sector clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic rail advice to external and internal clients.
- Coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary projects.
- Develop WSP’s rail-focused service offering in light rail, freight and local authority sectors.
- Plan, manage and deliver tasks and projects, including bidding for new work.
- Engage with clients and build networks across WSP UK and the global community.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in light rail, freight or transport for local authorities, including knowledge of legislative and funding processes.
- Understanding of rail areas such as operational, strategic planning, business case development and engineering feasibility.
- Strategic thinking with detail orientation.
- Pro-active, collaborative professional style.
- Business development and bidding skills.
- Project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
