A Little More About Your Role
- Associate Director or Technical Director - Electrical grade with a proven track record in delivering healthcare design projects in line with client expectations.
- Provide design and technical advice in a joint leadership capacity within a mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) discipline team, acting as a WSP project manager on a wide range of projects.
- Supervise the completion of detailed designs and supervise the work of others.
- Lead the overall feasibility study and consider the feasibility of the project.
- Take responsibility for and direct others in the production of detailed/performance specifications.
- Act as the client’s key point of contact and be responsible for overall project delivery in terms of client deliverables and internal KPIs.
- Interpret the client’s needs and ensure project delivery meets those needs.
Business Development
- Provide excellent client care and seek opportunities to develop additional business for the team.
- Assist with developing client relationships to promote new commissions.
- Promote WSP’s capabilities and expertise in the region.
Management
- Take responsibility for and direct others in the production of detailed and performance specifications, subject to review by colleagues prior to issue.
- Develop and line‑manage junior staff.
- Brief the project team regularly, ensuring contracts or letters of intent are in place for all projects before work starts.
- Maintain an overview of the project and understand the team workload and resource requirements, working with team leaders to fully utilize resources.
- Hold regular team meetings to discuss resourcing, staff issues, H&S, quality, training, and development, and other relevant issues.

- Low voltage distribution systems
- Cable calculations via ElectricalOM or Amtech /by hand
- Lighting calculations (via software and by hand)

Qualifications
- BEng/BSc/MEng in an applicable engineering discipline.
- CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council Chartership.
